Since 1990, we have helped students from around the globe become more confident communicators in English and Burlington School of English has made its unique mark in the EFL industry as one of the leading independent language schools in London.

In 2019 we expanded to a brand new school site in South West London with the aim of providing an even better, all-inclusive student experience.
Burlington School’s multi-million pound residential centre
Our centre, featuring updated in-classroom interactive technology and over 80 onsite residential beds, is nestled in Balham, South West London. This neighbourhood offers excellent transport links as well as the green space and local community feel that our students have come to know and love.
Our students are offered a true creative, community space where they can eat, sleep, socialise and study – all under one roof. They also have the opportunity to get to know the city through authentic interaction with the surrounding area, shared by a diverse population of Londoners and a range of vibrant local businesses.

What Our Students Say
At the beginning, I felt insecure about speaking and was afraid of making mistakes, especially when forming sentences. Even though I could understand almost everything, I sometimes froze when it was time to talk. However, as time went by, I became more confident, learned new expressions, and started feeling more comfortable participating in class and having daily conversations.
The school environment was multicultural, with students from many different countries, which made the experience even more enriching. I didn’t just improve my English — I also learned about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives that broadened my worldview.
Living in London made everything even more special. Being able to study while experiencing the routine of such a diverse and historic city was incredible.
In the end, I realized how much I had grown — not only in the language, but also in independence, maturity, and confidence. It is definitely an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
I will miss London and the moments at the residence, especially in the common room. But I will keep in touch with many students.
What makes it really stand out is that it’s not just another school with a generic “business campus.” Their campus is beautiful, welcoming, and designed to inspire learning.
And the best part: they even have their own castle in Bath, which is an absolutely unique experience you won’t find anywhere else. Burlington genuinely cares about its students and creates the perfect environment to learn English.
