SkillUp: English for Life & Leadership
SkillUp is our dynamic English programme for Young Learners, where students develop their language skills through interactive lessons, creative projects, and teamwork. They build confidence in English while developing essential communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Courses start on Mondays (subject to availability)
- We welcome students from Pre-intermediate (A2) to Advanced (C1) levels
- Maximum class size of 18 students

The right class for every student
We want every student to feel confident and supported from their very first lesson. Before arriving, students complete a short online placement test so we can place them in the class that best matches their age and English level.
Students are grouped primarily by age to ensure they learn alongside peers at a similar stage of development. We also take English level into account wherever possible, and our experienced teachers adapt lessons and materials to meet the needs of every student. This approach creates engaging, inclusive classes where learners feel confident, make friends, and continue to develop their English.
Learning Through Projects
Our lessons for Young Learners follow a project-based approach, giving students the opportunity to develop their English through creativity, teamwork, and real communication.
Each week, students work together on a project, learning and practising the grammar, vocabulary, and language skills they need before presenting their work to the class every Friday. This encourages collaboration, builds confidence, and helps students use English naturally in meaningful situations.
Projects cover a wide range of topics, including society, business, current affairs, the arts, and popular culture.
Examples include:
- Create a Country
- Design and Market a New Product
- TV News
- Poetry Slam
Skills and Outcomes
We track the progress our Young Learners make throughout their stay and award a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
By the end of their time with us, our teen students will have improved their:
- Public Speaking
- Critical and Creative Thinking
- Study Skills
- Collaboration Skills
