Live Online Tuition Courses

Live Online English classes

The Burlington School, with its 30 years of experience and excellence in English language tuition,
is now going online with personalised small group English classes.

Start any Monday

Initial online speaking assessment included, to be conducted on the Friday before you start your course
(between 9:00-10:30 BST). Other times available upon request.

Our groups focus on communicative and collaborative activities by connecting you to our experienced teachers, combining:

  • Online learning
  • Online collaboration with other students
  • Access to online materials and content
  • Self-study

Your English skills will be personally assessed before you start the course via our online test, a writing exercise and a speaking exercise with one of our dedicated teachers. You will then be placed in the most appropriate group depending on your ability and the outcome of your test. Teachers will adapt the course for the needs and level of each class.

During your class

You’ll connect via video with students from around the world. You’ll learn techniques to develop all four key English skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – with a particular focus on communication. Working individually or in mini groups, you will begin to feel more confident in an English-speaking environment.

After your class, you will be given homework and access to online self-study materials to work on, with particular focus on written practice. Your teacher will be on hand to provide you with support and feedback, and you’ll also be provided with a wide range of motivating materials, including digital resources. Regular targeted support from your teacher will help you achieve your learning outcomes.
